Frog Hand Rattle

There's a moment in early summer when you first hear frogs again — usually in the evening, near water. It's one of those sounds that just means something, even if you can't say exactly what.

A frog wasn't in my plan either. And then I found this pattern — sage green with white stripes and the most earnest little face. It absolutely had to be made.

The babies who get this one won't know why they reach for it. They'll just be drawn to that curious face, the contrast stripes catching their attention before they even know what curiosity is.

The frog rattle is made for the months when babies start to really hold things — small hands learning to grip, to shake, to discover that they can make something happen.
